About Us

American Health Foods has been a staple of Oak Lawn since 1967. Family owned and operated for nearly six decades, the store has built its reputation on knowledgeable service, quality products, and a genuine commitment to the community it serves.

In March 2026, we, Katie and David, became the proud new owners, carrying that legacy forward. We're committed to keeping the same trusted brands and quality standards you've come to expect, because we know that's exactly why our customers have kept coming back for generations.

Katie grew up in Oak Lawn and has been a loyal customer of Bill's at American Health Foods for over 20 years. With a background in marketing and customer service, she brings a deep personal connection to the store and a passion for helping customers feel welcomed and well cared for.

David spent more than 12 years as a professional hockey player, beginning his career in the Chicago Blackhawks organization in 2010 and later playing in Europe for seven years. His background in elite athletics gave him a hands-on education in health, nutrition, and fitness, knowledge he's excited to share with our customers.

Together, we're combining our experience to honor everything that has made American Health Foods special: the personalized service, the trusted expertise, and the same quality products you've always counted on.
